Jenna Bush Hager welcomed a son last week, named Henry "Hal" Harold Hager. It's the third child for the Today co-host and her husband, Henry Hager, and as new family photos reflect, Baby Hal's arrival is a joyous event for the entire extended Bush family. Bush Hager's parents, former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura Bush, are absolutely bursting with pride over their grandchild in new photos.

"Laura and I are thrilled to welcome Henry Harold Hager to our family," the former U.S. president wrote in an Instagram post that found him beaming as he posed next to his grandson. "We are happy for the proud parents, Jenna and Henry. And pleased that Mila and Poppy have a little brother to love."

"We thank God that mom and baby are healthy, and we look forward to many years of loving the boy known as Hal," Bush—a longtime fan of nicknames, himself—continued.

Bush Hager gave her Today co-hosts all the details in a phone call on Monday, August 6, including her father's jokes about the name choice.

"My dad was a little mad that the name wasn’t George but [was] just kidding," she shared. “He said [Henry] was a cool name.”

As for how the newborn earned his shortened moniker, Bush Hager said it came by way of his new siblings, Poppy Louise and Margaret "Mila" Laura.

"We weren’t exactly sure about the name, but then his big sisters arrived and they called him Hal Pal,” the onetime first daughter said. “So we thought, ‘This is just perfect!’ “

Hager Bush called in to Today again on August 6, to tell guest host Jay Leno more about greeting her tiny bundle (you're allowed to rest on your maternity leave, Jenna!). She says since coming home on Monday, August 5, the family is realizing that "three kids is a whole new thing, but we're having so much fun—and I'm just staring at a precious little baby!"

While she admits no one has gotten much shut eye, and her eager daughters couldn't help but wake a sleeping Hal, "this beautiful chaos is what life is all about."
