George W. Bush Handed Michelle Obama A Mint At His Father's Funeral

With his voice cracking, George W. Bush choked back tears during the final moments of the eulogy he gave for his father, George H.W. Bush, at the state funeral for the former president on Wednesday. "In our grief, let us smile knowing that dad is hugging Robin and holding mom's hand again," the younger Bush said, referring to his sister who died at the age of three from leukemia.

Before delivering the speech, Bush shook hands with every living president and first lady who were seated in the front row of the National Cathedral in Washington, D.C. In a moment of levity, Bush appeared to hand Michelle Obama a mint or candy, referencing the moment during John McCain's funeral in which he gave the former first lady a breath mint.
