The First Trailer for George Clooney's New Series Catch-22 Is Finally Here
The first trailer for George Clooney's new television series Catch-22 has arrived
Clooney stars as Lieutenant Scheisskopf, and is joined by a star-studded cast
The show will be released on Hulu on Friday, May 17
Last year, George Clooney fans rejoiced when the actor (and Amal's other half) announced he was returning to his roots with a new television project, Catch-22. And now, Hulu has released the first teaser trailer of the action-packed new series.
Based on the Joseph Heller novel of the same name, Catch-22 stars Christopher Abbott as Capt. John Yossarian, a young pilot in World War II who struggles with the violence of war and the Catch-22 paradox that prevents him from leaving his duty. Clooney plays Lieutenant Scheisskopf, and the actors are joined by a star-studded cast: Kyle Chandler as Colonel Cathcart, the army commander who is eager to climb the ranks at any expense, Hugh Laurie as Major de Coverley, Giancarlo Giannini as Marcello, and Daniel David Stewart as Milo, per Deadline.

The series marks a homecoming for Clooney, who got his big break starring as Dr. Doug Ross on the long-running medical drama ER back in the '90s. Catch-22 is his first major television project since, and Clooney tripled his duty as an executive producer and director of two episodes.
In January 2018, the series first made headlines when streaming giant Hulu officially landed the buzzy new project as an original series. “Catch-22 is a rare story that has withstood the test of time, not only as a literary masterpiece, but as a story that still resonates in today’s political and social conversation,” Joel Stillerman, Hulu's Chief Content Officer, said. "These are exactly the types of stories we want to be programming at Hulu, and we couldn’t be happier to partner with George Clooney, Paramount TV and this phenomenal group of creatives to bring one of the most well-known books of all time to viewers in a way that has never been seen before."
All six episodes of Catch-22 will arrive on Hulu on Friday, May 17. That means you have plenty of time to read (or re-read) the classic novel ahead of the premiere.
