Actor George Clooney was released from the hospital today after being involved in a crash in Sardinia, Italy, according to local news outlets. He was rushed to the hospital after the driver of a car allegedly did not respect the right of way, cutting across his path and hitting him while he was riding his scooter.

A reporter for NBC News tweeted about the incident, writing “At 8am @georgeclooney was riding his scooter on the State Road 125 towards Olbia. A car did not respect the right of way and hit him. He fell. The car driver called an ambulance. MRI was negative, and he is not seriously injured."

The driver of the car got out to help Clooney, and the ambulance took him to John Paul II hospital. He underwent an MRI, having complained of “a slight trauma to the pelvis and bruises to one leg and an arm,” according to news outlet La Nuova. He was discharged and a local police officer who spoke to Clooney after the accident confirmed to CNN that he seemed "fine." He sustained no major injuries.

Clooney's wife Amal reportedly rushed to be by his side after the accident, and they went home together after he was discharged. The 57-year-old actor was reportedly on his way to the set of his most recent television show, a limited series for Hulu called Catch-22, when the crash happened.
