George and Amal Clooney Are the Most Sophisticated Couple on the Red Carpet

The most elegant couple in Hollywood, George and Amal Clooney, made a glamorous appearance in London last night for the premiere The Boys In The Boat.

The couple walked the red carpet at Curzon Mayfair Cinema in coordinating all-black ensembles. As they posed for photos, they stayed dry from the rain with an umbrella, laughing off the mishap.

Amal looked striking in a strapless velvet cropped top with raised sides and a matching long velvet pencil skirt. She paired the sleek set with silky pointed-toe pumps, a black croc-embossed oval clutch bag, and gold chainlink earrings. Amal wore bronzy makeup with pops of red on her lips and manicure to compliment the red-carpet look; her hair was down in a straight, side-parted 'do.

George was dapper in a classic black suit, crisp white dress shirt—which he left unbuttoned at the top—and shiny black dress shoes. The actor wrapped his arm around his wife's waist as they posed on the carpet, looking so in love.

It's always a good night when George and Amal, who married in 2014, delight us with their presence on a red carpet—or even on a glamorous date night. The last time the Clooneys brought out their party 'fits for a Hollywood gala was in September, when they hosted, via their Clooney Foundation for Justice, the second annual Albie Awards in New York City, in partnership with Versace. The gala—founded by George and Amal Clooney and named after Justice Albie Sachs, who worked to end apartheid in South Africa—honored those individuals who, with their work, have courageously defended justice above all else.

Amal wore a shimmery white bridal look from Atelier Versace for the occasion, while George looked sharp in a tux.
