‘Genius’ Disneyland turkey leg hack goes viral on TikTok: ‘You just blew my mind’

A TikToker’s favorite “Disney day” food hack is helping families stretch their dollar when dining in the parks, and the footage is going viral.

Creator @kahn_of_cons gained over 2.1 millions views, 193,000 likes and 1,300 comments when they uploaded the money-saving hack to their account.

While we’ve seen Disney food go viral before — like the wagyu beef dinner that’s served with a side of “trauma”@kahn_of_cons‘ food hack is inspiring Disney fans to rethink the way they eat in the park.

According to Park Savers, a Disney trip-planning website, turkey legs at Disneyland cost $11.99 plus tax — not a bad price when feeding a family.

But since passing around a huge turkey leg isn’t exactly ideal, @kahn_of_cons found a way to split the meal without all the mess.

With the help of some King’s Hawaiian rolls (and a few packets of mustard), a singular turkey leg can be used to make delicious sliders — a great way to feed an entire family without hurting one’s wallet.

‘This is a great idea for families with little kids’

Thousands of TikTokers applauded the brilliant turkey leg hack in the comments.

“This is a great idea- that turkey leg can feed 4, but nobody wants a communal gnaw on the bone. Sliders or tacos is the way to go,” one user wrote.

“You just blew my mind,” another user commented.

“not me with my Tupperware of white rice for my turkey leg 😂,” one user laughed.

“this is a great idea for families with little kids,” wrote one user.

“The Disneyland turkey leg is no joke. It tastes amazing!!!” another user commented.

“Security is going to wonder why they are seeing Hawaiian Rolls in everyone’s bags 😆,” joked another user.

Other TikTokers built upon @kahn_of_cons‘ idea with creative suggestions of their own.

“Or… get a tiger tail from Bengal Barbecue and a turkeyleg and do the same thing,” one user wrote.

“forget the bread get some tortillas and Chile Verde,” another user suggested.

“I buy a loaf of bread from Walmart and keep it at the hotel. get a leg b4 going back and we have sandos 4 dinner,” shared one user.

Hopefully these Disney food hacks can help families make their memorable trips a little more affordable, while still hitting the spot.
