General Mills Is Launching a ‘Ghostbusters’ Cereal That’s Filled With Marshmallows

The excitement for the new Ghostbusters: Afterlife film is already real, because themed foods are coming out to celebrate the release. Just yesterday, we learned about the Hostess Muncher Madness Twinkies, and now we’ll be able to start our day with the movie, too, with General Mills’ offering.
It looks like General Mills is releasing a Ghostbusters: Afterlife cereal soon enough. A product listing has popped up on Walmart’s website showing what appears to be non-final cereal box. It shows the Ghostbusters logo and a bowl of cereal filled with bright orange crunchy pieces, and white and green ghost-shaped marshmallows. The look alone already has us ready to dive in spoon-first!
The very faint print at the top of the box says that it consists of fruity-flavored cereal with marshmallows — which is interesting, because the new Twinkies are made with a fruity-flavored filling. So clearly, Ghostbusters and fruit flavors are going hand-in-hand here.
The Ghostbusters: Afterlife film is expected to be released in June 2021, so we can only assume that the General Mills cereal will be out ahead of that time. Get your spoon ready to devour a couple bowls!
