It’s no secret that actress Gemma Chan, 38, always looks stunning, on and off the red carpet. If, like us, you’ve been wondering exactly what her secret to glowing skin entails, you’re in luck. The actress revealed her top beauty products in a recent interview with Vogue.
Chan’s skincare journey started during her teenage years when her mother taught her the importance of taking care of her skin. “My mum got me started in skincare while I was a teenager, which included cleansing, toning, and moisturizing daily,” Chan said. Her number one rule was always to make sure you look after your skin.”
If you’re like so many of us and didn’t pay much attention to your skin during your formative years—don’t worry, there’s still hope. Chan shared a few of her beauty secrets, including the four skincare products she loves that keep her skin moisturized and complexion radiant.
Her favorite serum plumps skin.
As a L’Oreal Paris spokesperson, it’s no surprise that she loves using L’Oreal Paris Pure Hyaluronic Acid Serum, which she says works really well for her skin. This serum contains 1.5% hyaluronic acid, which is a moisture-attracting ingredient that plumps the skin from the inside out, giving it a smoother and more youthful appearance. To apply, Chan squeezes a few drops of product onto her fingertips and gently taps it all across her face, including the cheeks, forehead, and the around mouth.
“It’s commonly used as an ingredient in moisturizers as well because of its hydration benefits, and can even help plump the skin to improve the appearance of fine lines,” says Joshua Zeichner, M.D., director of cosmetic and clinical research in dermatology at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. This serum is also a bestseller on Amazon and reviewers love how well it reduces the look of wrinkles and enhances the skin’s texture.

Next, she follows up with her “secret weapon,” a caffeine-infused eye cream by the INKEY list. She gently dots the product underneath her eyes using her pointer finger to help reduce puffiness. This eye cream is made with a unique peptide ingredient called Matrixyl 3000, which reduces fine lines and wrinkles.
