  • The actress, 39, looked so strong in a pleated, black dress with a thigh-high slit.

  • Yoga and Pilates are Gemma's go-tos for staying fit and toned.

Eternals star Gemma Chan spoke at the L’Oreal Paris Women of Worth event, and she just shared a little BTS content from filming an NBC special for the honorees.

In a new Instagram post, Gemma shared pics of herself with the honorees, along with info on each one. But it’s hard to miss the first snap, which shows Gemma working a gorgeous black dress with an accordion-pleat bottom and thigh-high slit that reveals toned legs for days.

Plenty of people noticed in the comments. “Wow you look very beautiful,” one wrote. “Stunning, as ever,” another said.

OK, but how did the 39-year-old get those killer legs? She’s big on workouts that are specially designed to give you muscle tone, for starters.

“I like doing yoga,” Gemma recently told Vogue UK. “I’ve just started Pilates which is brutal–so brutal, deceptively so.”

Gemma said that she has a “mini morning routine” that’s a mix of yoga, sun salutations, and Pilates core work. “It only takes about 10 minutes but I find that if I do that in the morning, it sets me up for the day ahead and my posture is better,” she said. “Even if I’m just sitting on the sofa working on my laptop, if I’ve done that, I feel better.”

That’s not all Gemma does, though. “When I was training for Captain Marvel I did boxing classes, which I really enjoyed,” she said. Gemma shared in a 2019 interview that she also needed intense core muscles for her role as Minn-Erva in the superhero movie.

"You just need to really work on your core strength,” she said. "I have to constantly have my arms raised, because [I'm] holding a rifle.” But she added, she couldn’t really lift her arms beyond 90 degrees because of her tight suit.

“It was really hard work. It was a lot of effort,” she said. “My arms were killing me by the end of every day!”

Gemma also revealed to Vogue that, during the first part of the pandemic-induced lockdown, she and a few friends had a regular Zoom party going on. “We’d share the music and we’d have a drink and a dance,” she said. “I don’t know if it really counts as proper exercise... but there you go.”

Totally counts!
