How Gemini Season Will Affect Your Social Life

Gemini season begins Thursday, May 21, and runs through Sunday, June 21. During this period, we'll see change and a lot of buzz around themes that have to do with communication, socialization, rumors, and gossip. Many of us have already been doing a lot of thinking about many of these themes lately, given the ways that COVID-19 has impacted our lives.

Gemini is perhaps the most controversial sign of the zodiac. The sign, represented by the twins, has a reputation for being two-faced. It doesn't help that controversial figures such as Donald Trump and Kanye West are Geminis, which adds fuel to the fire surrounding this often misunderstood sign. However, Stevie Nicks, Octavia Spencer, and (fittingly enough) the Olsen twins were also born under this sign, proving that there is perhaps more than meets the eye here. While the two-faced reputation is hard to shake, a more accurate description of many Geminis is that they can see all sides to an issue.

Despite the state of the world and Gemini's reputation for having many lovers (many people born under this sign are well-suited for polyamory), this season is an excellent time to reignite your love life. The tarot card that represents Gemini is the lovers, and it's said that they are always looking for their other half. As a mutable sign, Gemini adapts well to change. If we approach difficult issues and problems the world has never had before with compassion, an open heart and mind, and empathy, there is a real opportunity to reinforce love. This could mean a new romance, perhaps someone you met online during stay-at-home orders or reuniting with old lovers or friends.

Gemini is an intellectual air sign that prides itself on rationality, but this season is going to include Twitter takedowns, personal call-outs, and some ill-advised rule-breaking. Wear your PPE and continue to follow social distancing guidelines whenever you need to leave the house to protect yourself and others. Use self-soothing tools such as meditation to stay on Gemini's rational side. If you can do that, the next few weeks will be an experience in powerful communication.
