GCDS Gets Papped for SS24

With their opulence and allure, fashion tastemakers and celebrities tend to blur the line between real and imaginary. Playing into this notion, GCDS's Spring/Summer 2024 campaign, "Baci Da L.A.," features the brand's old and new pieces in paparazzi-like images.

Combining the best of old Italian paparazzi photos and L.A. appeal, the photos are highly influenced by the work of Franca Sozzani and Steven Meisel's work from almost two decades ago. The tongue-in-cheek concept compels viewers to question what is real and what is fake and entices audiences with what is seemingly an authentic depiction of celebrity lives and fashion on a day-to-day basis. The campaign also serves as a love letter to L.A., capturing the city's spirit and hot spots.

Standout pieces include the form fitting crop top and loose hoodie, both with logos and the "Comma Notte" bag. The silver closing look from the SS24 show also makes an appearance in front of the celebrated Chateau Marmont.
