Gayle King Shares Affectionate Hug with Tom Cruise at Movie Premiere

Gayle King had a mission to complete during a recent movie event, determined to link up with Tom Cruise at the premiere of the newest Mission: Impossible film, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One.
The TV personality brought fans along as she embraced her spy persona to search for the film star, finally reuniting with an earnest hug and a chat about her family.
King posted a video of the night on Instagram, captioning it, "Mission accomplished! @tomcruise is a movie star but more importantly he’s a caring person who goes out of his way to make everyone feel better….he even indulged me when I showed him pictures of favorite grandson Luca! @missionimpossible."
In the clip, King walks through the premiere, set to the classic Mission: Impossible theme music, and finds Cruise, who offers a big smile and a hug. She also shared snaps of the moment when she brought out her phone to show off her dear grandson, Luca, writing over top the images, "Thanks for being such a good sport, Tom!"
The official Oprah Daily account, ran by Gayle's best friend Oprah Winfrey's team, commented on the post, "We need you in the next @missionimpossible movie!!!"
A jealous fan wrote in the comments, "You are one lucky lady @gayleking I ❤️ @tomcruise ❤️ I can’t wait to see the new Mission Impossible Movie. 🔥."
The new Mission: Impossible movie just hit theaters on July 10, and it stars many familiar faces alongside Cruise, including Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Ving Rhames, and more.
Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two, the next film in the franchise, will be here in no time, as it's already set to hit theaters on June 28, 2024.
