Gavin Rossdale Has Some Choice Words About His Divorce From Gwen Stefani

In true rockstar style, Gavin Rossdale had a poetic, cerebral, and head-scratching response when he was asked about "his most embarrassing moment" in a new interview. During a sit-down with The Guardian, Rossdale explained, in one of the most roundabout ways possible, that his divorce from Gwen Stefani was his most embarrassing moment.

After softball questions such as "When were you happiest?" and "What is your greatest fear?" — which got very predictable answers, by the way, the interviewer asked "What was your most embarrassing moment?" Rossdale responded, "The gross and lopsided spectre of the crumbling of my marriage."

It's not the first time Rossdale has gotten deep about his divorce. back in 2017, he said that going through a divorce is one of the "most painful things to go through." Stefani and Rossdale were married from 2002 to 2016.

"[Divorce] was completely opposite to what I wanted. Really not..." he said in an interview with The Sun. "But here we are. Apart from death, I think divorce is one of the hardest, most painful things to go through."

Stefani's mentioned the separation a few times, too. In 2016, she told Harper's Bazaar that going through the divorce was "hell" for her. When she spoke about Rossdale's infidelity, she called it "the beginning of hell ... like six, seven, eight months of torture, trying to figure out this big secret."

Stefani has moved on, however. She's in a high-profile relationship with her fellow The Voice coach Blake Shelton. Stefani and Rossdale share three sons, Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.
