Gasp! Kate Middleton & Prince William Just Showed PDA…Twice

It’s no secret Prince William and Kate Middleton rarely show PDA, considering Queen Elizabeth encourages the royal family to keep their hands to themselves. But that all changed this past week when they were spotted showing affection not once but twice.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge recently attended London’s annual Saint Patrick’s Day parade, and while we could go on and on about Kate’s stunning all-green ensemble, we couldn’t help but notice that Prince William snuck in a very subtle—yet major—PDA gesture during the ceremony.

When they greeted the Irish Guards at the Cavalry Barracks, the prince noticeably placed his white-gloved hand on Kate’s Catherine Walker coat.

But that’s not all. Earlier that week, the royal couple attended the Commonwealth Day ceremony at Westminster Abbey, where Prince William was spotted with his hand on Kate’s back.

This isn’t the first time the duke and duchess showed affection in public. In December, royal aficionados had a field day when Kate put her hand on the prince’s knee when they received gold Blue Peter badges.

Sure, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle can’t seem to keep their hands off each other, but that’s because there’s no formal rule forbidding royal PDA. Nevertheless, Prince William tries to refrain from showing affection with Kate due to his probable role as the future monarch.

We’d love to hear what Queen Elizabeth has to say about this.
