Game of Thrones’ Maisie Williams Confirms She’s a Bridesmaid in Sophie Turner’s Wedding to Joe Jonas
This is going to be one amazing wedding party. Actress Maisie Williams confirmed this week that she will be in Game of Thrones co-star Sophie Turner’s upcoming wedding to Joe Jonas.
“I’ve already got it,” she told the Radio Times Monday, January 22, of her secured status in the wedding party. However, the nuptials will not be taking place until George RR Martin’s fantasy drama is aired to its completion in 2019.
“We’re waiting until this season’s done until we get into any of that,” Williams continued. “But I think she’s already let her little heart wander and imagine.” (We recommend Turner begins with our Style Quiz and The Knot App.)
The couple memorably shocked fans when they announced their engagement in October 2017. At the time, Williams, along with the entire Jonas family, reacted to the news on social media. “Congratulations to my beautiful girlfriend on her engagement,” wrote the actress, who plays Arya Stark, the younger sister of Turner’s character Sansa Stark, in the HBO series. “This is just one of MANY life milestones we’ll share. Love you both #mophie #jophie #holymoly.”
Meanwhile, the groom’s brothers are still awaiting their respective roles in the wedding party. “My brother Kevin, when he got married, he had all of us be the best men,” Nick told Entertainment Tonight last November. “That’s kind of the diplomatic approach, but I don’t know. It’s up to [Joe].”
Turner isn’t the only GoT cast member to currently be engaged. Kit Harrington and show alum Rose Leslie are also slated to wed as the series comes to a close.
