This ‘Game of Thrones’ Ice Hotel Is Fit for a (Dragon) Queen

Guys, winter is most definitely here. And that’s especially true at Lapland Hotels SnowVillage in Finland, where travelers can sleep in a Game of Thrones-themed hotel that’s made entirely of snow and ice. (Dire wolves not included.)

The good news is that there’s no need to travel beyond the wall to visit the hotel, although you will have to go beyond the Arctic Circle to Kittilä in Finnish Lapland (about a 90-minute flight from Helsinki). The bad news? Temperatures inside the rooms reach a chilling 20 degrees Fahrenheit. Wheres an Ikea rug when you need one?

The incredible hotel features an ice restaurant, ice bar (complete with a Viserion-esque ice dragon) and even an ice chapel where you can get married (reindeer wedding dress, anyone?). Other Seven Kingdoms–themed elements include a life-size iron throne, a Hall of Faces and a white walker with illuminating blue eyes. Cozy, no?

Guests also have the opportunity to explore some of the area’s winter activities, such as Ice sculpting, dire wolf husky safaris, reindeer experiences and aurora borealis snowmobile excursions.

Interested? You’d better book before April 30 when the hotel melts closes.
