News just broke via The Hollywood Reporter that HBO has "entered into early development" on a GOT sequel all about Jon Snow, man who knows nothing. And yep, Kit Harington is attached to the project.

While some people might be politely wondering why HBO won't just leave this show alone, the Jon Snow sequel is merely one of many Game of Thrones-adjacent projects in the works. Specifically, seven (7) of them. Let's see, there's House of the Dragon (the prequel dropping August 21 that's about House Targaryen), as well as something called 10,000 Ships (another prequel), 9 Voyages (another prequel) and Dunk and Egg (yet. another. prequel).

Meanwhile, THR notes that The Golden Empire, along with two other animated prequel projects, are also in development. However, this Jon Snow spin-off would be the first new show to take place after the events of Game of Thrones, and obviously this means that other major characters could also make a comeback—like Arya Stark and Sansa Stark, Jon's siblings.

Anywayyyyy, if you're suddenly curious/nervous about House of the Dragon, the good news is that George R. R. Martin saw a rough cut and is obsessed. As he put it in his blog, “I am anticipating House of the Dragon pretty eagerly myself, for what it’s worth. Okay, I am hardly objective. And I know a lot of what you will be seeing. (I, um, wrote the book.) Also…mum’s the word now, don’t tell anyone…I’ve seen a rough cut of the first episode. And loved it. It’s dark, it’s powerful, it’s visceral…just the way I like my epic fantasy.”
