The Heart of Stone actress also shared her newborn daughter’s iridescent name: Ori! “You have brought so much light into our lives, living up to your name, Ori, which means ‘my light’ in Hebrew,” Gadot wrote. Ori is such a beautiful name! We love that it’ll remind her of light and brightness whenever she says her name.

Gadot also shared a photo of herself in a hospital bed, where she hugs her newborn daughter close to her chest. The baby girl is wrapped in a hospital blanket with a pink-and-blue hat on her head as Gadot wraps both arms around her. It’s such a sweet, intimate moment taken that looks like it was taken minutes after birth.

“Our hearts are full of gratitude,” she added. “Welcome to the house of girls.. 👯‍♀️👯‍♀️ daddy is pretty cool too 😉❤️.”

“Everyone knows that the only thing superior to Wonder Woman is Mother Woman 😇,” one person commented on the sweet post.

Gadot and her real estate developer husband were married in September 2008. They are also parents to daughters Alma, 12, Maya, 6, and Daniella, 2. These names all have deeper meanings, too. Alma means “spirit,” “loving,” “kind,” and “good.”

Maya means “water” in Hebrew, according to NameBerry. Daniella is also a Hebrew name, which means “God has judged” or “God is judge.” It is the female version of Daniel, a man who stood strong in his faith in the Bible.

In the past, Gadot shared how much she loves giving birth. Yes, really! “I love giving birth. I would do it once a week if I could,” she told InStyle in its Feb. 2022 issue. “It’s so magical. And I always take epidurals, to be fair, so it’s not so painful,” she added.

“Just the moment you feel like you’re creating life, it’s incredible,” she continued. “But the pregnancies are hard for me — I feel sick and have migraines. I’m not in my element.”

In a July 2023 cover interview with Vogue India, the Death on the Nile star opened up about motherhood. “The biggest thing that changed in my life since I became a mother 11 years ago, was learning that it’s not just about me,” she said. “I’m not the most important thing in the world. They are. And there’s something just simply healthy about the fact that it’s not all about you. It puts everything in perspective.”

Motherhood has also taught her how to love “like you’ve never loved before.” She went on, “They’re everything to me, I’ll do anything for them. They’ve taught me so many things. How to keep on going, even when you were so exhausted and you didn’t sleep at night and had to shoot in the morning. They taught me that I can do much more than I thought I could.”

Gadot shared that she went to school to study law while continuing to be an actress. “As long as you’re going to do what you want to do, then you’re giving your children the best example because kids learn the best not by what you tell them, but by what you model to them. …The more centred you are with yourself, the better of a model you are with your children.”
