Gabrielle Union looked absolutely stunning in a sheer black and gold strapless gown while celebrating her 50th birthday.
“Walkin Into 50… Like A Champion 🏆🏆🏆,” she captioned the Instagram post sharing her outfit.
In reflecting on her milestone birthday, she showed profound gratitude to friends, family, and supporters for seeing her to this stage of life.
Gabrielle Union knows how to celebrate herself and her family. She does it daily (as we all should!). But her 50th birthday celebration took the energy to a whole new level. The actress debuted her birthday outfit on Instagram—a stunning black and gold strapless gown—and captioned it with appropriate confidence. “Walkin Into 50… Like A Champion 🏆🏆🏆,” she wrote.
In the clip, she modeled the dress—which featured a see-through gold panel across her midriff and thighs—by smiling and walking toward the camera. Fans and followers swooned over the chic look, and of course, wished her happy birthday.
“50 WHERE??? Happy birthday to a true queen,” one person commented. “Happy birthday !!!!!!! Looking 25 !! 😍😍😍” another added. Her husband, Dwayne Wade, dropped a simple single fire emoji.
The pair celebrated the milestone birthday on a leg of their self-titled #WadeWorldTour2022, recent travels which they’ve documented thoroughly on Instagram. The party happened in Zanzibar, Tanzania, and even featured a surprise performance from hip-hop and R&B artist Lisa Lisa.
“I’m still processing the level of effort and planning that went into pulling off such an unbelievable 50th birthday party,” she captioned a recap clip. Before leaving for the trip, she showed gratitude to her supporters.
“As we start this journey across the world for my 50th, I just want to luxuriate in my gratitude for my family, my amazing friends and all the friends I haven’t even met in person who have kept this train on the tracks this year, even after I collided with myself,” she captioned a family photo. “Thank y’all for rockin with the old homie. I appreciate you guys more than you can imagine.”
After seeing her stunning birthday posts, it’s easy to wonder what skincare or fitness routines she follows to take care of herself. But Union says aging gracefully is more about setting healthy boundaries than anything else.
“My best anti-aging tip is the ability to say no, no, and hell, no,” she told Women’s Health in 2017. “We run ourselves ragged saying yes to every freaking thing, whether it’s to our family, spouses, or careers. I sleep eight hours a day and don’t let myself stress out. A lot of people call it selfish, but I don’t have any wrinkles.”
