Is it finally happening?

Bring It On fans may soon have reason to celebrate as some think a cryptic tweet from one of the stars is hinting towards an impending sequel.

MEFeater celebrated the 22nd anniversary of the original film by sharing several screenshots on Twitter on Thursday, August 25. "22 years ago today 'Bring It On' premiered in theaters ❤️," the online outlet wrote, tagging stars Kirsten Dunst and Gabrielle Union in the photoset.

It caught Union's attention, and she quickly retweeted it, giving fans much to talk about.

"Hmmmm so Isis might have a teenager 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔😳🤷🏾‍♀️🙏🏾 #BringItOn," she wrote, coyly pondering what her character may be doing today. Naturally, fans are wondering if she knows something they don't.

The 2000s hit spawned several sequels over the last two decades, but none of them featured the original cast. With Union's tweet, many are hoping that that's about to change.

"Ehemmm, I wouldn't hate an actual Bring It On sequel, but from your character's prospective [sic] this time," one user wrote in response.

"What you tryna say…" Kalen Allen said.

"That something goooooooodt coming!" someone replied to him, seemingly convinced that Union's tweet was a teaser for something more to come.

Others were hopeful but not convinced. Many also begged the actress to quit toying with their emotions. After all, there's an equally good chance that Union was truly just reminiscing about the character. Unfortunately, only time will tell!
