Gabrielle Union Looks Dazzling in a Crystal Fringe Prada Gown

Gabrielle Union made a sparkling red-carpet appearance last week.

On Thursday night, the Being Mary Jane star attended the Hollywood premiere of the third season of the Apple TV+ series Truth Be Told, where she hit the red carpet alongside her husband Dwyane Wade. For the occasion, the star and her stylist Thomas Christos chose a strapless embroidered gown by Prada, which was adorned in vivid green, light pink, and black fringe adornments in a color-block pattern.

The star paired the column gown, which was covered head-to-toe in hand-beaded crystals, with black satin sandals, drop earrings, and an array of rings. Her hair was styled in a braided top-knot with loose tendrils on one side, and her elegant makeup look included a nude lip.

The Bring It On actress also shared a series of pre-carpet pics, taken at her home with Wade and their daughter Kaavia. The retired basketball star also wore a Prada look for the evening, comprised of a classic gray suit worn with a black turtleneck, black patent leather Chelsea boots, and a Cartier watch.

Truth Be Told's upcoming third season is Union's latest dramatic role following her acclaimed performance in the military drama The Inspection. The actress previously told Bazaar.com that she went into "extensive therapy" after working on the two projects, which handle topics including homophobia and sexual assault.

"[I was] literally doing four hours of Zoom therapy a week, but [my schedule] led me right into committing to season three of Octavia Spencer's show Truth Be Told, where another part of my soul got ripped open that I didn't even realize I had been dissociating for 30 years, and I had come back in my body finally," she said.

"So this has been a year of discovery and hopefully a rebirth and, I can't say a rediscovering, but a discovering of what freedom looks like to me and what it is to decolonize my spirit and my soul and my mind to find out, who am I really if I'm not centering white supremacy in all that I do and think in everything," she continued.
