Taking to Instagram to show off her standout style, the “Bring It On” alumna posed for her Flawless by Gabrielle Union haircare line on Tuesday. The look centered around an asymmetric design from TLZ L’Femme, complete with cutouts and wraps across the torso; you can shop the design for just $178 on the brand’s website, too.
To complete the standout attire, Union then buckled up a platform set of sandals with a thin ankle strap and a PVC cross-toe finish.
PVC footwear rose to prominence in 2018 and has since become a staple on the celebrity style scene. Brands like Manolo Blahnik, Christian Louboutin and Givenchy have jumped on the clear shoe train with bold heels and studded designs that flatter the foot and elongate the legs.
Union herself is no stranger to footwear trends and tapping into one of spring’s biggest crazes just last month. Joining her husband, former NBA star Dwyane Wade, for a standout couple style moment, the “L.A.’s Finest” actress’ look in particular combined a few hit silhouettes from Paris Georgia, Stone and Anna Quan; the outfit layered a crisscross knitted bralette and coordinating maxi skirt under an oversize blazer.
On her feet, Union then tapped the beloved big toe sandal trend. Big-toe silhouettes became a celebrity-endorsed style in the summer of 2019 and have since continued to appear on the likes of Katy Perry, Sofia Vergara and Katie Holmes amongst others. The style offers a laid-back appeal with the stability and familiarity of the 1990s, a common theme amongst “it” girl trends this season.
When it comes to fashion, Union herself has had a lengthy partnership with New York & Co. that has led to successful collections, including a size-inclusive capsule for the holidays in December 2019. The actress also serves as a brand ambassador for SensatioNail and served as a spokesperson for years for Neutrogena.
As for red carpet style and off-duty attire, you can find the star of the upcoming “Cheaper by the Dozen” remake in everything from Chanel, Cong Tri and Valentino to Cos, Reformation and Adidas.
