Everyone has their own heartbreak remedy, and we adore 4-year-old Kaavia James’ method. Gabrielle Union and her daughter, who she shares with husband Dwyane Wade, demonstrated their luxurious self-care routine to help Kaavia get over a challenging playground experience — and we want to try it next time we’re having a bad day!

“Kaav, do you feel younger already?” Union asks her daughter. Kaavia is a little distracted, watching TV as she answers, “Mmhmm.”

“When you said that you felt heartbroken, you know, on the playground at school that day. It’s important to try to make yourself feel kind of right,” Union continues. Kaavia distractedly responds, “Mmhmm” again. Poor Kaav! We don’t know why she was heartbroken, but we know some quality snuggle time (with expensive face masks!) seems like a great solution.
The mother-daughter duo also took several photos throwing up peace signs (which Kaavia actually looked away from the TV for!). Later, the Proudly founder asked her daughter, “What did you get Mommy today?” Kaavia looks up and says simply: “Love.” She makes a heart with her hands, and our hearts just melted on a puddle on the floor. So sweet!
“I was talking about the flowers, but you gave me love too!” Union says, seemingly trying not to cry. She gave her daughter a big hug. Kids, man! They really know how to get you in the feels.
“Giving love and care is just as important as teaching it 💜,” the Truth Be Told star captioned the video. Fans came through to share their love for the video.
“Nah!! Why was she heartbroken at school??” one person commented on the video. “Who did it? Do her internet aunties need to pullup? Also, I LOVE EVERY LAST BIT OF THIS, GAB!!!!”
Another person said, “Yep, she can have ANYTHING she wants. What did you give mommy today. Kaavia: ‘I have love.’😍😍😍”
Viola Davis wrote, “She gave you love🥹🥹😭❤️❤️.”
“Love love this. Self love. So important u teaching it early so she knows the importance 😍😍😍😍😍😍,” she said.
