Gabriela Hearst is believed to be departing from Chloé after three years as the brand's creative director. The news was first reported by WWD.

According to the trade publication's unnamed sources, the designer will step away from the French fashion house in order to continue growing her eponymous label, which has a strong audience in its own right. Spring 2024 will be her last collection at Chloé; she'll stay through the Paris Fashion Week show in September.

Fashionista has reached out to Chloé for comment; we will update this story when we hear back.

During her tenure, Hearst pushed Chloé in a more mindful and sustainable direction. She's said to have decreased its total carbon footprint of the brand's collections, incorporating recycled textiles, reworking vintage and deadstock fabrics. Chloé became B Corp-certified under her leadership.

It was also doing well, financially: In a joint interview with WWD earlier this year, Hearst and Chloé Chief Executive Officer Riccardo Bellini shared revenue had risen 60 percent following the designer's appointment.

Most recently, Chloé announced a collaborative collection with actor Angelina Jolie, not long after the star announced her own, separate fashion business endeavor, Atelier Jolie.

The three-year term strikes again.
