Buckle up, folks. A brand new season of The Bachelorette is coming your way tonight at 9 p.m. ET on ABC. Don't worry, if you can't stay up that late (I wouldn't blame you), you can also stream it next-day on Hulu. Charity's season will bringing back all the wild entrances, steamy moments, and drama that has become a staple of everyone's favorite reality dating show franchise.

As you may already know, Charity Lawson will be starring as the new leading lady for The Bachelorette season 20, and everyone is already obsessed. ICYMI, the network broke the big news during Zach Shallcross's "Women Tell All" episode, and her reaction was so relatable.

“Stop! Is this for real? No way! Oh my god, I’m gonna cry,” she said. Honestly, same.

While you probably have some baseline knowledge about Charity from her time on The Bachelor, it’s understandable to want to know more. Here’s everything you need to know about the newest woman to hit Bach Nation.

She's ready to take risks this season.

According to ABC, Charity is willing to take risks to find genuine connection during her Bachelorette journey. She's looking for someone who is honest, empathetic, and values her for who she is. Charity is also hoping her Mr. Right likes dogs, thrifting, and a good tailgate.

Charity is going to bring all of her best qualities from Zach's season to great a truly perfect season of The Bachelorette.

How old is Charity?

Charity is 26. She was born on Dec. 30, 1995, which makes her a Capricorn. In case you’re not into astrology, Capricorns are known to be determined, loyal, resilient, and patient…which pretty much sounds like the perfect Bachelorette!

Where is Charity from?

This gal is a Georgia gal. Specifically, she hails from Columbus, Georgia, according to her Bachelor profile. However, Charity's LinkedIn page currently lists Charlotte, North Carolina, as home base.

What does Charity do for work?

She's a mental health therapist! As Charity’s bio sweetly reads, she “takes her name as a call to love and care for people and has built her life on that purpose.”

In her LinkedIn profile, Charity calls herself a “growing therapist,” noting that she’s most interested in trauma, child developmental disorders, anxiety, veterans, couples, and families.

“I carry a strong passion for helping others and am a strong advocate for promoting self-care and wellness,” her profile reads. “My goal is, wherever I may go, I want to leave an impact on someone's life by ensuring and fulfilling positive change for humanity, while also connecting and promoting a diverse environment that creates long-lasting interpersonal relationships.”

Charity went to Auburn University.

Yup. She got both her undergraduate and graduate degrees from Auburn, graduating in May of 2022, according to LinkedIn. She posted about her educational journey last year, along with her aspirations, and it’s kind of a tear-jerker.

“The past 6 years at Auburn, has been an experience of a lifetime, one that I don’t take for granted,” she said. “I’ve been challenged, pushed and molded into the woman I am today. Looking back on my journey, I’ve met the most incredible people, professors, created the BEST memories, but most importantly, unconsciously, I walked right into my calling.”

On campus, she was in a sorority, on the modeling board, a tutor, and a campus kitchen volunteer. Charity got her bachelor's degree in rehabilitation and disability studies, and had a 3.4 GPA when she finished her undergraduate studies, per her resume on LinkedIn. Smart, kind, thoughtful, and beautiful... She's got the whole package.

She’s got a very protective family.

Charity’s family was there for her hometown date with Zach, and it was clear they’re all super close. During her time at home, Charity had several sweet, teary talks with her family about her journey, and they in turn grilled Zach about his intentions. But that only make sense considering she's the baby of the family.

Her older brother, Nehmiah, who works in dentistry, warned Charity that she should keep in mind that “there’s other women involved” when it came to Zach.

Charity also an older sister, Amiyaka, who keeps a pretty low profile.

She was a fan fave on The Bachelor.

Bachelor Nation fans reallllyyyy love Charity, and it’s easy to see why. She’s low-drama, kind, and just a whole lot of fun. Even Zach struggled to send her packing during the hometowns episode.

"You deserve all the love. I couldn't give it to you," he said, and later pointed out that sending Charity home was “the hardest decision I’ve had to make.”

She is excited to be a part of something "bigger than herself."

In May, Charity appeared on The Jennifer Hudson Show and spoke about being the fourth woman of color to be the Bachelorette. "I acknowledge that this is so much bigger than myself. Although it is my journey to [find] love, it's bigger than me," Charity said. "I 'm honored to hold that representation for other people at home that look like me."

The Bachelor Nation franchise has been called out for the lack of diversity at its core, and Charity is only the second monoracial African American woman to be cast as the Bachelorette in the show's 20 seasons, she said on the Jennifer Hudson Show.

She's really excited about finding love this season.

Yup, Charity has been dropping little BTS hints for a while now, including this adorable photo of herself with all her boys:

And here she is reading some of the responses to her announcement that she'd star on the new season:
