This holiday season, whether you’ll be rolling out the ultimate dinner menu, enjoying a traditional meal from your favorite restaurant or searching for the best Black Friday deals on Thanksgiving Day, the last thing you would want to do is show up to a closed store.

So, what stores will be open on Thanksgiving Day 2023? Surprisingly, a bunch of them! While Walmart will be closed, shops like Walgreens, Sears and a slew of others will be available to customers. If you’re anticipating extra guests and need to make more of your go-to Thanksgiving side dishes, many grocery stores will also be open on Thanksgiving Day.

Liquor stores in many states will also be open. But, hours may vary by location, so be sure to contact your state’s alcohol control board for the latest information. Retail stores like Best Buy, plan to have extended hours to accommodate holiday shoppers so you can even get a jump on your Christmas shopping.

Though, it's important to remember that some chains will have limited hours depending on location, so you might want to call your nearest shops before you go.
