Whether you fell for him as Carter Baizen on Gossip Girl (the original version, tyvm) or as Bucky Barnes in a little-known Marvel franchise called Captain America, you’re probably familiar with Sebastian Stan. And if not, it’s time to study up, because with his fast-growing Hollywood résumé, everyone will be talking about him v soon.

The actor stars as Mötley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee in Hulu’s new miniseries Pam & Tommy, which follows Tommy and Pamela Anderson (played by Lily James) through their, uh, tumultuous relationship and legal battle over a honeymoon sex tape. And let’s just say their transformation into Pam and Tommy is jaw-dropping:

I mean….

So, with his rising star status in Hollywood, let’s unpack his résumé stats and the impressive numbers behind his $$$.

How much is Sebastian Stan’s net worth in 2022?

According to Celebrity Net Worth, Sebastian Stan is currently worth a cool $8 million, nbd. Buuut my guess is that number is about to go up really soon, thanks to the fact that he’s contracted to do at least a couple more Marvel movies plus that Pam & Tommy $$$.

How much did Sebastian Stan make for all those Marvel movies?

Okay, so Sebastian Stan has a pretty impressive Marvel résumé. He’s played Bucky Barnes (aka the Winter Soldier) in Captain America: The First Avenger, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Ant-Man, Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame. According to the Hollywood Reporter, he’s got a contract with Marvel to do nine movies, so we’ll definitely be seeing him again in at least two more action-packed superhero movies.

His exact salary for these movies doesn’t appear to be public, but what we do know is that Marvel tends to hire actors for cheap (by Hollywood standards) and then pay them more if they prove that their movies can become box-office hits. According to Insider, Chris Hemsworth made only $150,000 for Thor in 2011 but got $15 million for Avengers: Endgame in 2019. Similarly, Chadwick Boseman received $700,000 for Captain America: Civil War in 2016 but got $2 million for Black Panther the following year.

So it’s safe to say that Sebastian might have been paid less than a million dollars for his first appearance in Captain America: The First Avenger in 2011. He even admitted in an interview that he had trouble paying his rent after starring in that movie.

“In 2011, after the first Captain America came out, about a month later, I had a call from my business manager telling me I had a month left to figure out how I was going to pay my rent,” he said to Entertainment Tonight. “So, perception is always interesting, isn’t it?”

But now that he’s got seven Marvel movies under his belt, he’s almost definitely getting *at least* a few million for each movie.

How much did Sebastian Stan make for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier?

The Marvel TV shows are different from the Marvel movies (at least when it comes to $$$). Several of the Marvel actors who starred in their own TV shows on Disney+, including Sebastian Stan, Anthony Mackie, and Elizabeth Olson, negotiated deals that are separate from their movie contracts, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

According to Men’s Health, Sebastian’s costar Anthony Mackie made $475,000 per episode of Altered Carbon, a Netflix show he starred in from 2018 to 2020. So presumably, Marvel would have at least matched that $$$ (or offered him more money) for The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. All of which is to say that Sebastian was probs making a similar salary of more than half a million per episode, if I had to guess.

How much did Sebastian Stan make for Pam & Tommy?

There’s not a ton of info out there about how much Lily and Sebastian made for their portrayals of Pamela and Tommy. But other stars on Hulu miniseries have pulled in some serious cash.

Nicole Kidman reportedly made $1 million per episode for her role in Nine Perfect Strangers. Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington also made just over a million dollars an episode for their starring roles in Little Fires Everywhere.

But on the other end of the spectrum, Normal People star Paul Mescal reportedly bought a round of drinks for the show’s cast and it cost him “pretty much my entire wage.” So unless these were, like, $100,000 drinks, it’s safe to say he was making less than a million dollars per episode.

Given the rest of Sebastian’s résumé, it’s safe to say that he’s probably making something between that Normal People and Little Fires Everywhere money. So drinks on him, k?
