  • New claims that Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson got married in Vegas do not appear to be true.

  • E! News reports that the pair aren’t “legally married but did have a fun friendship ceremony about a year ago.”

Earlier today, reports emerged that Cara Delevingne and Ashley Benson had gotten secretly married in Las Vegas. Buuuuut apparently, not so much.

The Sun initially broke the “news” that Cara and Ashley had gotten hitched at Little Vegas Chapel by an Elvis Presley impersonator in front of a handful of guests, potentially including Charlize Theron, the Jonas Brothers, and Sophie Turner.

The owner of the chapel even said, “They were sure about what they are doing and they were sure about what they mean to each other. They were clearly devoted to each other and they had the biggest smiles on their faces. You could see that they were serious about what they were doing but having the most fun. They wanted it simple, quiet, and easy.”

However, E! News reports that the pair aren’t “legally married but did have a fun friendship ceremony about a year ago.” Meanwhile, Ashley and Cara—who sparked engagement rumors just a few weeks ago—have remained quiet on the reports.

Either way, it’s clear that these two are really happy—and just recently confirmed they’re in a relationship. While accepting the TrevorLIVE Gala’s Hero Award, Cara even took a moment to thank Ashley, saying, “I also have another very special woman in this room to thank and you know who you are. She’s one of the people who helped me love myself when I needed it most, and I really needed it. She showed me what real love is and how to accept it, which is a lot harder than I thought.”

So much ❤️.
