FYI:You Can Book a Trip to Hawaii for Just $99 with Alaska Airlines Right Now
If you’re looking for the ultimate tropical vacation this spring, you might want to start packing your bags (and bathing suits!): Right now, Alaska Airlines is offering $99 one-way flights to Hawaii—the only catch is almost all the flights are from California.
The sale ends on March 5 at 11:59 p.m, so you should book your flight ASAP. The flights travel four popular Hawaiian Islands. You can head to Oahu, the most visited island in Hawaii, if you’re flying out of San Francisco and San Jose. The flights to Oahu will land in Honolulu, the capital of Hawaii.
You can fly to Maui from Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, and Portland. To get to the Big Island, you can book a flight to Kona from Seattle, San Jose, and San Diego. For a trip to Kauai, you’ll need to fly from San Diego.
There are two fare deals to choose from. One is the “Saver,” which is $99 and the other is the “Main,” which is $129. With the Saver fare, seats will be assigned at the gate, which means that if you’re traveling with other people, you probably won’t get to sit together. Passengers with Saver fares will also be the last to use the overhead bin space. Though the Saver fare offers less amenities than the Main fare, Alaska Airlines did rank as the second best U.S. airline in 2019. So you can’t go wrong either way.
