Be honest: There are a few reasons you probably clicked on this article, right? You’re either (a) a casual Billie Eilish fan wanting to know more about her brother, Finneas, (b) a Billie superfan looking to learn some ~nitty-gritty~ deets, or (c) completely clueless about who Finneas is and want to educate yourself on what to know about him ahead of the Grammys. No matter what your reasons are, you’ve come to the right place, my friend.

I’ve done all the internet sleuthing for you and created this hefty, not-at-all-stalker-ish guide to Finneas O’Connell, Billie’s literal brother frequent collaborator, before he and Billie inevitably take home gramophones—enjoy!

Finneas O’Connell Is Billie Eilish’s Big Brother

Ah, so that’s why they look so much alike. Finneas is about four years older than Billie and was born July 30, 1997...meaning he’s a Leo.

Aside from that, Finneas goes pretty much everywhere with Billie (probs because he’s her best friend). He’s accompanied her on tours by playing keyboard and singing backup vocals for her. We stan an amazing brother-and-sister duo!

Because I’m feeling sentimental, please check out this cute vid of Finneas and Billie singing together before they were famous:

You’ve Probably Seen Him on TV

Before being a staple on Billie’s tour, Finneas spent most of his time in the public eye as an actor. He landed his first role ever in 2011 when he appeared in Bad Teacher (remember that Cameron Diaz movie?). After that, he started working on television shows.

If you saw Finneas and wondered why the heck he looked so familiar, it’s probably because you’ve seen him on two episodes of Modern Family and you may remember him as Alistair from the sixth season of Glee. On the show, his character dated Spencer and their relationship was way cute. Watch it and weep:

He Makes His Own Music…and It’s Damn Good

Obviously, you need to sing well to star on a show like Glee, amirite? Well, Finneas does just that, and he’s hella good at it. He started releasing music under his own name back in 2016 and released a full-length EPtitled Blood Harmonylast year.

On top of writing music for himself, he regularly writes with Billie too. In fact, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?—aka the flawless album that catapulted Billie into big-time, mainstream successwas entirely cowritten by Finneas, and a majority of the production on the album was by him.

Since Finneas is clearly talented, he’s started branching out to work with other singers now. Last year, he worked with Selena Gomez to help produce “Lose You to Love Me,” and he also produced “First Man” and “Used to This” from Camila Cabello’s new album, Romance. The dude is in demand!

He Has a Sh*t Ton of Grammy Nominations, Y’all

Because Finneas played such a huge role in the success of Billie’s album, he’s up for a whopping five (5!!!) Grammys. He’s nominated for Record, Album, and Song of the Year alongside Billie and also for the Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical and Producer of the Year, Non-Classical categories by himself.

Sorry, but He Has a Girlfriend!

Unfortunately for you, reader, Finneas is a taken man. He’s currently dating Claudia Sulewski, an Instagram influencer and YouTuber with more than 3 million followers on both platforms combined. From the looks of it, Finneas is smitten with her, as evidenced by this photo of him fully checking out her butt:

And this set of pics he posted on their anniversary:

Oh, and did I mention that he wrote an entire song about her titled “Claudia”??? Sorry, forgot to add that one.

So, yeah...the dude’s seriously in love.
