SAN DIEGO (FOX 5/KUSI) — With summer approaching, taking in the sights of San Diego while soaking in the sunshine is a must.

If you are looking for a date idea or want to hangout with family/friends, a rooftop restaurant is a good way to impress.

California lawmakers pass bills to ban plastic ‘reusable’ shopping bags

FOX 5/KUSI compiled a list of rooftop restaurants to visit in America’s Finest City:

George’s at the Cove (La Jolla)
This restaurant’s rooftop Ocean Terrace provides stunning panoramic views of La Jolla Cove. Some of its dishes include Blackened Local Fish Tacos, Niman Ranch Flat Iron and Mushroom Bolognese.

Mister A’s (Bankers Hill)
Located atop the Manchester Financial Building, this restaurant offers views of planes flying over downtown San Diego and landing at the San Diego International Airport. The menu consists of American, French and Mediterranean cuisine.

The Nolen (East Village)
Experience views from Petco Park to the Coronado Bridge on the 14th floor of the Courtyard Gaslamp. The Nolen is known for its cocktails, pulled pork sliders and shrimp tacos.

Kettner Exchange (Little Italy)
Little Italy’s only open-air rooftop lounge features dining tables, bar seating and cabanas. The menu provides a variety of meals like the Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice, Niman Ranch Pork Chop and Duck Meatball.

Seneca Trattoria (Embarcadero)
High above the hotel Intercontinental San Diego is the Italian restaurant Seneca Trattoria. From Housemade Focaccia to its Spaghetti Carbonara, diners can enjoy the food while looking out at the San Diego Bay.
