Fun in the sun: ‘Bakersfield Kids Fest’ takes over Stramler Park Saturday

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — A fun family friendly day dedicated to teach the importance aspects of raising happy, healthy kids is coming to Stramler Park Saturday.

Ali Saldana, event coordinator with Bakersfield Kids Fest, joined 17 News at Noon with a preview of the event.

Bakersfield Kids Fest will feature bounce houses, water slides, giant soccer darts and even a foam party to help families kick-off the summer from From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Saldana encourages parents and guardians to bring towels, ice water, swimsuits, sun block, blankets, and lawn chairs to participate and enjoy a fun day under the sun.

Portion of the proceeds will benefit AGM Community Partners, an organization that hold fundraising events to disburse funds to charities in Kern County.
