Fun events planned for the weekend in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — It is finally Friday, and you know what that means! It’s time to take a look at some of the events happening across the greater Memphis area this weekend.

Fellas and kiddos, remember, Mother’s Day is Sunday so you only have a few days left to get a surprise for the special lady in your life. If she likes Canoes and Cocktails, head over to Shelby Farms Friday night. You can rent a paddleboard, kayak or canoe and watch the sunset from the water. Afterward, there will be food, drinks and games. Tickets must be purchased by 9 a.m. Friday morning.

Looking for something free to do Friday? Go to the Germantown Performing Arts Center for Happy Hour in the Grove. There will be free live music plus you can enjoy some adult beverages and food trucks. Happy Hour runs from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

Saturday, the Memphis Brooks Museum is hosting the Art for All Festival from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. There will be performances, pop-up galleries and more. This is a free event

Afterward, kids can make a free craft at the Cossitt Library. This is from noon until 1:30 p.m. There will be a guided craft but also supplies for you to get crafty and make whatever they please.

Sunday, you can watch a Symphony in the Gardens. This is at Dixon Gallery and Gardens on Park Avenue from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Tickets are $5 to $22.
