These New Froot Loops Candy Canes Have Us Already Looking Forward To The Holidays
Kellogg’s Froot Loops cereal is slowly making its way into holiday treats. This past Easter we were introduced to Froot Loops Peeps and a Froot Loops White Chocolate Bunny, and now it looks like we have something to look forward to at Christmas.
Unlike Froot Loops cereal that has distinct red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple colors, the candy canes are white with twists of red, green, and a brownish color. They certainly look Christmas-ready, but what about the taste? A typical bowl of the sweetened cereal has a fruity aroma, so we’re guessing that’s going to be the base for the holiday treat.
Thanks to Instagram account @junkfoodmom, who posted about the Froot Loops-flavored candy canes, we looked into the reported candy. They’re listed on the site for Redstone Foods, a premier distributor of specialty candy, glass bottle soda, and fancy food items, as described on its description.
While the listing doesn’t provide much information, it does indicate that it’s a seasonal item for Christmastime, as you’d expect. Our hope is that it’ll be here for the 2020 holiday season. Each box has 12 candy canes, so you’ll have a bunch — whether you want to decorate your tree with them or devour them one by one.
