Travelers will have new, low-cost flight options just in time for the upcoming summer travel season.

Frontier Airlines recently announced 17 new routes spanning various markets, including a new service to St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The routes will have staggered start dates between May 2 and May 25.

The largest expansion will take place in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), where Frontier will operate new service to Gerald R. Ford International Airport (GRR), which serves Grand Rapids, Michigan; Long Island MacArthur Airport (ISP) on Long Island, New York; Virginia's Norfolk International Airport (ORF); and New York state's Syracuse Hancock International Airport (SYR) three times a week.

The airline will also begin services from Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) to Denver International Airport (DEN) and Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) several times a week.

For travelers looking to explore the U.S. Virgin Islands, Frontier will offer a new weekly service between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and St. Croix's Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) starting May 25, subject to government approval.

Frontier also announced a new service connecting Nashville International Airport (BNA) to Chicago's O'Hare International Airport (ORD) three times a week, starting on May 16.

The airline will also expand services from destinations like Columbus, Ohio; New Orleans; Denver; Houston, Texas; Indianapolis; Phoenix; San Diego; and Seattle.

“Increasing the number of cities with an ultra-low fare option helps ensure even more consumers can take to the skies this year to visit friends and family or experience a new destination on their travel wish list,” Frontier Airlines’ Vice President of Network and Operations Design Josh Flyr said in a statement shared with T+L.

To celebrate the new routes, Frontier is offering introductory tickets on the routes for as low as $19, one-way. The fare sale is currently running through 11:59 pm EST on March 1 and is valid on travel on select days through June 19. The fare sale has several restrictions and blackout dates, such as it is only valid on flights operating on a Tuesday, Wednesday, or Saturday. The full terms of the fare sale are listed on Frontier’s website
