The world is currently mourning the death of Friends star Matthew Perry, who died at the on Saturday, October 28, at the age of 54.

Celebrities and fans have taken to social media to express their sadness, including long-time collaborator on the hit show, actress Maggie Wheeler, who played Janice Hosenstein, Chandler Bing's on-again, off-again girlfriend throughout the series.

In a touching tribute on Instagram, Wheeler expressed how grateful she was to work with Perry over the course of 10 years. "What a loss. The world will miss you Mathew Perry. The joy you brought to so many in your too short lifetime will live on. I feel so very blessed by every creative moment we shared," she wrote.

She also shared a statement with NBC news about Perry's death, who she first worked with on episode five of season 1. "Matthew was an incredibly generous actor. There was no single time I stepped onto a stage with him that I did not feel lifted by his brilliance," she said. "Even in his darkest moments his comedic timing was impeccable."

Perry is believed to have drowned in his Los Angeles home on Saturday. He leaves behind his father, actor John Bennett Perry, and his mother, Suzanne, as well as step-siblings.
