The Friends reunion happened days ago at this point, but the internet is still not done talking about it, tyvm. And while the vibes have generally been nothing but positive, Matthew Perry has been dealing with some speculation and, as director Ben Winston put it, "unkind" comments about his appearance at the reunion.

"He was great," Ben said of Matthew on The Hollywood Reporter podcast TV's Top Five (via Us Weekly). "People can sometimes just be unkind. I wish they weren't. I loved working with him. He's a brilliantly funny man and I thought he had some great one-liners in the show. I felt just happy and lucky to be in his presence and directing him on something like this."

While Matthew struggled with substance abuse issues while filming the Friends series itself, producer Kevin S. Bright also confirmed that he was doing great at the time of the reunion, telling The Hollywood Reporter, "What people say is what people say. I don't have any[thing] to say about that, except it was great to see him. And I think he's very funny on the show. But yes, I think he's OK. He seems stronger and better since the last time I saw him, and excited about going forward."

Glad to hear Matthew is doing so well, and hopefully this unnecessary speculation about his health and appearance will cease and desist!
