Free Valentine's Day Weddings Offered At Canadian Ski Resort

Valentine's Day is about surprising that special person with something, y'know, special. I'm thinking of chocolates, flowers, some bubbly, a micro brewing kit (obligatory man gift)... the list goes on.

Or, instead, you could quit beating around the bush and get married for free at Revelstoke Mountain Resort, British Columbia, on Valentine's Day.

Okay, there are a couple of things to keep in mind here.

For one, the Marriage Commissioner will be at the top of the Revelation Gondola, so you'll need a lift ticket, season pass, or sightseeing ticket to take advantage of the free wedding.

Two, you must obtain a marriage license beforehand for the wedding to be legally binding.

Third, you need to register in advance for the free wedding. Click here to do so (if it's not already booked out).

Finally, two witnesses (at minimum) are required.

That's all the boring stuff, though. The free wedding includes a glass of sparkling wine each and a cupcake to be shared

Here's a look at Revelstoke weddings past.

Skiing? Love? They're two of life's greatest things, so I imagine they'd complement each other nicely, particularly for the reasonable price of free fifty. I suppose there's only one way to find out.
