Free Mullet Haircuts Were Offered At Mont Sainte Anne World Cup

Downhill mountain biking has developed a cultural kinship, of sorts, with a specific haircut. What haircut, you ask?

Well, the mullet of course. And what better place to get one of these divine dome chops than in the pits of a World Cup bike race?

Take a look at these free cuts in the video below.

It is fitting that mullets have become synonymous with downhill mountain biking in hairstyle and in wheel size. For those who aren't familiar: A mullet, or mixed wheel size bike is one that has a 29-inch wheel up front and a 27.5-inch wheel out back. Most World Cup racers are running that setup these days.

The advantage of the mullet setup is that you get the greater clearance and roll-over ability of a 29-inch wheel while getting the maneuverability and precise control of a 27.5-inch wheel on the rear of the bike.

Ironically, Jackson Goldstone, the man to win at Mont Sainte Anne does not run a mulleted bike. He does run a mullet haircut though, so that counts for something.
