All of the Free Food Deals for Veterans and Active Military on Veterans Day

Saturday, Nov. 11, is Veterans Day, a day to recognize those who have served in all U.S. military branches. Many businesses choose to honor past and present military members with special deals. This year, the following stores offer free or discounted meals to those who have served or are currently serving. If that’s you, we thank you and remind you to take along proof of military service when you claim your token of their appreciation.

Applebee’s

Applebee’s offers free lunch or dinner for Veterans and active duty military members on Saturday, Nov. 11.  They can choose from eight options: Classic Bacon Cheeseburger, Top Sirloin, Chicken Tenders Platter, Double Crunch Shrimp, Fiesta Lime Chicken, Oriental Chicken Salad, or Three-Cheese Chicken Penne. They’ll also receive a $5 gift Bounce Back card for $5 off a future visit within a three-week redemption window. The offer is good for dine-in only, and proof of military service is required.

BJ’s Restaurant

Current and former military who dine at BJ’s Restaurant on Saturday, Nov. 11 will receive a free Chocolate Chunk Pizookie with a minimum purchase of $11.95 (tax and gratuity not included) with proof of military service. On their next visit, they’ll also receive a free appetizer with a $14.95 purchase.

Denny’s

From 5 a.m. (or opening time) until noon on Friday, Nov. 10, Denny’s honors America’s active and retired military personnel with a free original Grand Slam—two buttermilk pancakes, two beef bacon strips, two sausage links, and two eggs. Proof of military service is required.

Hooters

On Saturday, Nov. 11, active duty military members and veterans who present proof of service will get a free entrée from the Hooters Veterans Day menu by purchasing a beverage. They can choose from 10-piece Boneless Wings, Hooters Burger, Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, or Buffalo Chicken Salad. The offer is good for dine-in only at participating locations.

IHOP

On Saturday, Nov. 11, from 7 a.m.-7 p.m., IHOP offers a special menu deal for veterans and active-duty military. Choose from free Red, White, & Blueberry Pancakes or a Pancake Combo—two pancakes, eggs, bacon or sausage, and hashbrowns. The offer is good for dine-in only, and proof of military service is required.

Krispy Kreme

Krispy Kreme’s sweet deal for veterans and active military personnel is a free doughnut of choice and a free hot or iced small coffee on Saturday, Nov. 11. The deal is limited to one per guest, in-shop and drive-thru only. No additional purchase is necessary.

Red Robin

Red Robin is showing its appreciation with a free Red’s Big Tavern Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries at participating locations on Saturday, Nov. 11. The deal is valid on dine-in only, and proof of military service is required. The restaurant also has a year-round Red Robin Royalty military rewards program that’s free to enroll in. Members receive perks, deals, and special offers.

Sheetz

Veterans and active duty military personnel can enjoy a free half turkey sub (including extras and add-ons) and a regular-size fountain drink at any Sheetz location on Saturday, Nov. 11. Additionally, Sheetz locations with a car wash will wash veterans’ and active duty military personnel’s cars for free (a $9 value). Proof of service is required.

Smoothie King

On Saturday, Nov. 11, all active duty and military veterans can get a free 20-ounce smoothie from one of Smoothie King’s three red, white, and blue smoothies: Cherry X-Treme (red), Slim-N-Trim Vanilla (white), or Blueberry Heaven (blue). The offer is good at participating locations with proof of service.

Wendy’s

The fast food chain offers those who have served or are currently serving in the U.S. military a free breakfast combo—a breakfast sandwich, breakfast potatoes, and a drink—during breakfast hours on Saturday, Nov. 11. Proof of military service or a VetRewards Card is necessary to receive the offer.

White Castle

Veterans and active-duty members of the military can get a free individual combo meal—sliders, fries, and a drink—or a breakfast combo—sandwich, hash browns, and a drink—when they dine in at White Castle restaurants on Saturday, Nov. 11. Proof of military service is required.
