Frederique Constant and French DJ and producer The Avener began collaborating in 2022, when he was named brand ambassador of the Swiss brand’s Highlife collection. The appointment also saw the release of the Highlife Chronograph Automatic, a three piece release that showcased a chronograph for the first time within the company’s Highlife range.

The brand’s Highlife collection was designed to target a younger consumer, offering luxury sports watches with a fresh, contemporary design that range from an affordable perpetual calendar with a manufacture movement to automatic time-and-date models.

The partnership continues with Frederique Constant and The Avener debuting two 39mm limited-editions of the Highlife Automatic time-and-date with dials depicting the frequencies monitored on a recording studio console.

Both available in 39mm stainless steel cases, the first iteration is fitted with an integrated steel bracelet in a blue and black dial depicting sound waves as seen on a studio monitor, with an extra black rubber strap. The same shade of blue was utilized for The Avener’s cover of his first album. The second version is offered in a black sandblasted DLC case with a matching rubber strap as well as an additional black leather nubuck strap, a black dial with luminous black coating, and a date window with a black background, with a sound wave motif in a concentric pattern that radiates out from the central pinion.

Both models are powered by the brand’s automatic calibre FC-303 movement that can be seen on the sapphire caseback, equipped with 26 jewels as well as the limited-edition number of 432.

Each model will be limited to 432 pieces, with pricing set at $2,295 for the stainless steel version and $2,495 for the all black model. They will be available in March at Citizen Watch America’s first soon-to-open flagship near Rockefeller Center in New York City.

Frederique Constant unveiled on Wednesday a new highly limited edition in its Highlife collection — the Tourbillon Perpetual Calendar, during Dubai Watch Week, as part of their 35th anniversary.
