We are freaking out about ColourPop’s new ’90s lippie collection

As the summer starts to slowly roll to a tragic end, it’s important to keep our spirits up and bright in whatever measures necessary. Luckily for those needing a boost, the new ColourPop ’90s collection promises a sweet fluid array of bright-lipped time traveling. Slated for release on August 25th, the new collection boasts three ultra glossy shades partnered with a liquid matte hue, so you can enter all your social engagements with the sheer charisma of Lil Mama in her video for “My Lip Gloss Is Poppin.”

The new lip shades are part of another collaboration between the model and actress Karreuche Tran and the beloved LA-based make-up brand Colourpop, their collaboration name is fittingly deemed Kaepop (which immediately makes me think of Cakepops).

After Kaepop’s first delightful collaboration in January, when they unveiled a line of ‘90s inspired nudes for beauty-lovers to immediate success, they decided to continue on their trail of cosmetic domination by releasing this new brighter and bolder line of lip goodies.

The new lusted after flavors of lip decor are affectionately named: Lychee Me, Fudg’d, Stain, with the matte going by the name of Saigon.

If the technicolor shades didn’t already speak for themselves, the poppy names themselves elicit immediate visions of rollerskating to Britney Spears, or buying Auntie Anne’s at the mall before hitting up Claire’s for clip-on dangly earrings. With less than two weeks before you can purchase them, you have just enough time to compile a new fall Getting Ready mix that you can blast while applying your new bright, bold makeup looks.
