Frascione Gallery in Palm Beach hosts Saturday event with Cuban artist Reynier Llanes

A week ahead of the annual event to celebrate moms, Frascione Gallery in Palm Beach will host Mother’s Day “Coffee with the Artist,” featuring Cuban artist Reynier Llanes.

The event, billed as a celebration of maternal love, will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at the gallery, 256 Worth Ave., Via Amore, Suite O.

The event coincides with Frascione Gallery’s spring exhibition titled “Embracing Divinity: A State of Grace.”

Llanes, renowned for his vibrant works exploring human connection and emotion through multicolored dreamscapes, will have his art showcased alongside Old Masters.

Born in Pinar del Rio, Cuba in 1985, Llanes received his artistic education at the city’s school of art, Instructores de Arte. Acclaimed realist artist Juan Miguel Suárez was one of his instructors. After moving to Havana in 2005 and subsequently emigrating to the United States in 2007, Llanes lives and works in Miami, where his art has garnered recognition, including being named one of the 2012 “New Superstars of Southern Art” by Oxford America.

The Denver Art Museum, Ogunquit Museum of American Art, Cornell Fine Arts Museum Rollins College and the Snite Museum of Art are among the institutions hosting his art.
