I Found the Holy Grail of Strapless Bras for Bigger Cup Sizes

From Best Products

Finding a good strapless bra is no easy feat when you have a large chest. And by "no easy feat," I mean it's a literal nightmare. There's a lot of poking, prodding, adjusting, readjusting, stabbing, and flopping involved, and if you've ever had to deal with it, you know exactly how shitty it can feel.

I know I'm not the only one who's been looking for a magical answer to this problem, so I decided to put my boobs on the line to figure out a solution (specifically, one that didn't involve the use of body tape). I tested quite a few bras — probably 15 or so — to figure out which one would keep my knockers off the floor. And yes, I finally found one!!!

Now, keep in mind that not all boobs are alike, even if they're the same size. Everyone has a unique shape to their breasts, and what works for some might not work for others. I may be going on a tangent here, but this is why it confounds me that almost all bras in this world are designed for one specific shape (perfectly round and perky).

Before I reveal my big secret, there are some things I should share with you here that I realize would otherwise be TMI in social situations. My cup size wavers between a DD and DDD, which I know isn't the biggest, but it's big enough to make finding a strapless bra pretty dreadful. I also have bell-shaped breasts, which means they're fuller on the bottom than on the top, so I often deal with a weird gap at the top of strapless bras. I just don't fill them out at the top the way rounder boobs do, which I imagine is something a lot of people deal with.

After many failed attempts and lots of frustration, I had a real hallelujah moment with one particular bra. I had finally found it: zero gaps, no uncomfortable poking, and no spillage.

So, without further ado, here it is, my holy grail: the Wacoal Red Carpet Strapless Bra ($65).

This bra checked everything off the list, including a smooth and comfortable band, no clunky extra padding, and no dreaded gap at the top. It stays in place perfectly thanks to a tacky strip of material along the inside of the top that holds the bra in place, which also keeps it from showing any lines under clothes. It also comes in a variety of skin tones, and is made in cup sizes up to an H.

In conclusion, I will probably never try another strapless bra again. If you're on the hunt, I highly recommend starting with this one, and hopefully the torture I put my boobs through was worth it for your sake.
