Fortnite OG began with a bang - with over 44 million players jumping in for a bit of battle royale nostalgia. It’s proven so popular that players are asking when will the next live event for Fortnite be?

Previous events have included a rolling cube, a meteor and even Marvel’s Galactus making an appearance, and they always leave a new or radically altered map in their wake, so expectations are high.

When is the next Fortnite live event?

We’re expecting the next Fortnite OG live event finale to start on December 3. That date marks the end of Chapter 4 and the beginning of Chapter 5. A countdown timer is expected to appear in the game from November 21, according to this leak.

• UK - 9pm

• Europe - 10pm

After the live event and downtime, Season 5 will begin. We’ve already seen the map for the next island, and this prolific leaker has pulled files that reveal codenames for all the points of interest.

Fortnite hasn’t featured a live event since Fortnite Season 4 in December 2022, when a Chrome Vortex ripped the island apart and created a brand new map.
