Fort Collins restaurant deals: Great Plates returning with 2024 price changes

Some changes are in store for a popular Fort Collins food event.

Great Plates of Downtown — an annual two-week Food Bank for Larimer County fundraiser that has historically brought $25 meal deals to dozens of Old Town eateries — is coming back in 2024 with new price points.

Instead of its typical $25 meal deals and $2.50 dessert deals, the promotion will offer menu specials ranging from $15 and less to $25, $35 and $45 this year, the Fort Collins Downtown Development Authority announced Wednesday.

How does Great Plates work?

From March 1 through 14, diners can go to any of Great Plates' 45 participating restaurants and say they want to partake in the promotion. After your meal, you'll have a chance to leave a donation for Food Bank for Larimer County. The food bank receives 100% of Great Plates' donations — equating to more than $1,157,000 since the promotion's inception in 2008 and $152,328 last year alone, according to the DDA. Gratuity is not included in your donation.
