Fort Collins named one of 2023's Top 100 U.S. cities

Editor's note: An earlier version of this article incorrectly listed the Colorado cities included in Livability.com's 2023 list of top 100 U.S. cities, as well as Fort Collins' rating among them. Besides Fort Collins, the Colorado cities included were Broomfield, Castle Rock, Thornton and Colorado Springs. Broomfield and Thornton were rated above Fort Collins.

Whether you love them or hate them, Fort Collins has landed itself on another list.

The city was recently named one of 2023's top 100 U.S. cities to live in, according to Livability.com, which cited Fort Collins' college town vibes, craft beer offerings, outdoor options and charming downtown — Main Street Disneyland references included, of course.

While Fort Collins nabbed the annual list's No. 11 spot last year, this year's best cities list does not include a ranking system, with Livability instead opting to give each city a quality of life score based on its economy, cost of living, amenities, education, walkability and more. Fort Collins got a 755 quality of life score out of 1,000. It was one of five Colorado cities on this year's list.

Since 2015, Fort Collins has landed on at least 75 lists — including everything from Outside Magazine's "25 Best Towns Ever" list in 2017 to American Water Works' list of Best Tasting Drinking Water in North America.

Cheers to another list: Here are some outdoor dining spots to celebrate (in case you're looking for a reason)
