Fort Collins Fourth of July: City unveils plan for parade, fireworks

Fort Collins, are you ready for some fireworks?

While still a few months out, Fourth of July is top of mind for the city of Fort Collins, which recently announced a slate of planned activities for the holiday.

When are we celebrating?

After moving its 2022 festivities to July 2 — a Saturday — last year, this year's Fourth of July events will instead take place on Tuesday, July 4.

What is happening this Fourth of July?

While a schedule of events is still in the works, city-sponsored Fourth of July activities will include:

  • The FireKracker 5K run

  • The Stars & Stripes Golf Tournament

  • A Fourth of July parade along Mountain Avenue

  • Live music in City Park followed by fireworks over Sheldon Lake

The FoCo Food Truck Rally, which takes over Sheldon Drive in City Park on Tuesday evenings, will also take place July 4, according to rally organizers.
