Formula E returns to our TVs with the Mexico City ePrix on 13th January, 2024. Can reigning champion Jake Dennis win another title with Avalanche Andretti? The all-electric motor racing series – an eco-friendly alternative to Formula 1 – is known for epic wheel-to-wheel battles, so it's well worth watching Season 10.

Season 10 of Formula E is set to be the best yet, with new cars, new teams and new locations. After an incredible season in which he achieved 11 podiums across the 16 rounds to set a new record, Jake Dennis will be keen to get racing again.

Formula E’s 22 drivers from 11 teams step back into the GEN3 car – the fastest and lightest in the sport's history. However, only three teams retain the same line-up as last season: TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team, DS PENSKE and NIO 33 Racing.

Driver moves include: Nyck De Vries landing at Mahindra Racing after a short spell in F1, for AlphaTauri. Lucas di Grassi, the former Formula E World Champion, returns to ABT Cupra for 2024. And Sam Bird will move to Neom McLaren Formula E Team to complete the all-Brit driver lineup.

The new season brings new tracks to the Formula E calendar, too. Old favourites such as Berlin, London and Mexico City will be joined by newbie Tokyo, Japan (30th March 2024). Formula E will also return to Shanghai, China, where all-electric racing began.

FREE Formula E live streams (2024)

All 16 Formula E races are FREE to watch on RTBF in Belgium and ORF in Austria. The free live streams include qualifying sessions and ePrix races, although you might miss out on the odd practice session.

Travelling overseas? You'll need to use a VPN to unblock your usual stream when travelling abroad. We recommend ExpressVPN since it comes with a friendly 30-day money-back guarantee.

Watch Formula E from abroad using a VPN

Even if you have subscribed to the relevant Formula E rights holders, you won't be able to access them when outside your own country. The service will know your location based on your IP address, and will automatically block your access to the Formula E live stream.

A Virtual Private Network (VPN) helps you get around this obstacle. There are many VPN providers out there, with some more reliable and safe than others. As a rule, we’d suggest a paid-for service such as ExpressVPN which offers a 100 per cent risk-free money back guarantee.

Try ExpressVPN risk-free for 30 days
ExpressVPN offers a 30-day money back guarantee with its VPN service. You can use it to watch free Formula E streams on your mobile, tablet, laptop, TV, games console and more. There's 24/7 customer support and three months free when you sign-up.

How to use a VPN for Formula E

Using a VPN to watch Formula E stream for free is incredibly simple:

1. Install the VPN of your choice. ExpressVPN is the one we recommend.

2. Open up the VPN app and choose the location of the service you wish to access. For the Formula E, for example, you may wish to choose 'Belgium' for RTBF.

3. Then head over to RTBF on your browser or device and enjoy the free Formula E live stream.
