Nearly two weeks after reports confirmed that Taylor Swift and her boyfriend of six years, Joe Alwyn, broke up, there's chatter in the rumor mill allegedly linking the singer to Formula One driver Fernando Alonso, who had a hilarious reaction to the rumors.
On Monday, April 24, the Spanish driver posted a TikTok with Taylor's "Karma" playing in the background as he looked up from his phone and winked at the camera. He didn't stop there. The 41-year-old captioned the video, "Race week era 😉," a clear nod to Taylor's Eras Tour, and commented, "Feeling 33," a callback to the Grammy award-winner's smash hit, "22."
News of a possible connection between the two celebs first surfaced on the popular gossip blog DeuxMoix. The blog shared an anonymous email in its "deux are you looking for" segment that read, "A couple of Spanish magazines have been posting about TS and Spanish F1 driver Fernando Alonso." The email continued, "According to them, the couple has been seeing each other for a week now. Nothing serious tho, since they are both recently single."
Like Taylor, Fernando experienced a breakup in early April. The two-time Formula 1 world champion announced the end of his relationship of nearly a year with motorsport journalist Andrea Schlager in a joint statement on Instagram. According to Sports Illustrated, Fernando shared a picture with Andrea and captioned it, "We wanted to tell you that our relationship as a couple [has] ended. We have been lucky enough to share a fantastic time together, and it will continue to be so, but on a different form of affection."
The jury is still out on if Taylor and Fernando are rebounding with each other after their recent breakups, but there's no denying how epic Fernando's trolling skills are. 😂🤣
